Jackie French

Jackie French has been a generous supporter and judge of Pens Against Poverty since 2015 when it began.

Jackie French AM is an Australian author, historian, ecologist, and in 2014-2015 she was Australian Children’s Laureate and 2015 Senior Australian of the Year.

Jackie has written over 200 books for children, young people and adults, including Diary of a Wombat, Walking the Boundaries and Hitler’s Daughter.

Jackie is also dyslexic and patron of literacy programmes across Australia. She is a passionate advocate for equal educational opportunity.
